We co-develop solutions with communities on the ground to bring their experiences and needs to the center of social justice shifts

Commonground Initiatives is a nonprofit organization committed to supporting intersectional justice transitions by co-developing, amplifying, and resourcing grassroots and community-based solutions.

We focus on designing participatory and human-centric approaches and executing programs, partnerships, and research projects that aim to bring the experiences and needs of the most marginalized communities to the center of the change-making process. 

We particularly aim to support communities of women and girls from and in vulnerable contexts and advance their health and wellbeing, economic empowerment and social inclusion.

Our mission is to tackle some of the biggest challenges of today’s world with an intersectional lens.

We approach phenomena such as gender inequalities, systemic discrimination, forced displacement, and economic and environmental injustice as interconnected matters.

From this lens, we aim to take actions and mobilize resources with the communities on the ground towards solutions that promote social inclusion and civic participation, women’s economic empowerment, equitable socio-economic systems, sustainable entrepreneurial innovation, and community resilience to economic and environmental challenges.
