  • Margherita Sgorbissa

    Margherita Sgorbissa (she/her) is a Southern European, queer, and working-class-born senior consultant in the social justice and impact space. With a decade of experience at the intersection of corporate and nonprofit sectors, she specializes in strengthening civil society organizations, resourcing nonprofits, and leading change through strategic planning, impact scaling, and community-driven solutions. Her activism is deeply rooted in grassroots community organizing, beginning at 18 and evolving into a career dedicated to fostering community-led and community-first nonprofit missions. As a senior nonprofit consultant specifically in the areas of fundraising, strategy and operations she has worked globally with CEOs, social justice organizations, and impact leaders, advising on strategic planning, fundraising, partnerships, and organizational development.

  • Laura Asara

    Laura (she/her) is a senior data analyst and engineer with a background in international cooperation and economics, recently specializing in gender and sustainability data analysis. Laura worked in EU project management and international cooperation for 5 years before transitioning to Tech and leveraging data and engineering skills to advance insights and scientific approach to social justice causes and impact monitoring programs.

    Together with Margherita, Laura is the co-founder and managing director of Commonground Initiatives.

  • Beatrice Sgorbissa

    Beatrice Sgorbissa, MD, is a medical doctor, specialised in public, global and community Health. She attended medial school at the University of Trieste, Italy and completed her 4-year residency in Public & Global Health at the University of Padua, Italy. She is the Medical Coordinator for the Italian Mission of the InterSOS, a global humanitarian organisation, where she leads the coordination and strategy of healthcare activities.

    Beatrice has experience in health management, health strategy, implementation research, and the coordination of community-based humanitarian health projects. She is particularly focused on migration health and community health promotion. Her approach is strongly rights-based, reflecting her commitment to human rights in the field of healthcare.

  • Chiara Fracasso

    Chiara (she/her) specialised in public policy and ecological economics. She worked and volunteered with Civil Society Organisations in advocacy with EU and UN institutions in the fields of climate and environmental justice, maritime transport and trade. She engages in work on alternative economic systems that centre principles of ecofeminism, collective care and solidarity and decolonial work. She has an international background and is particularly interested in the intersections of post-growth economies and climate adaptation and emergency preparedness, focusing especially on centering the most impacted as drivers for transformative change.

  • Wafaa Morsi

    Wafaa is a master’s student at the University of Florence studying development economics with a focus on international cooperation and migration. Wafaa is also a young and emerging evaluator (YEE) with a Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) postgraduate diploma from the School of Continuing Education (SCE) at the American University in Cairo (AUC). Wafaa’s professional experience involves conducting research and impact evaluations for programmes and interventions related to various development themes, including migration, education, and employability.
